Vodka Martini
Today, the Vodka Martini is as popular as the classic Gin Martini which it was adapted from. It is the drink of choice for many who want a clean, dry Martini without the aromatic botanicals of gin and, just as with its predecessor, can be adapted to suit the drinker’s personal taste.
The next option for the drink is the garnish and bitters. Personally, I enjoy orange or aromatic bitters in my Martinis. The garnish could either be a light lemon twist or a few olives with either the standard pimento or stuffings like blue cheese or jalapeno.
The beauty of the clean Martinis is that you can customize them to your own style, taste, or even the mood you’re in at any given time.

Classy Mule
This is the MOST refreshing drink I have had in a long time! Just put a slice of lime in the bottom of your glass, add ice, 1 1/2 oz of Pür Class Vodka, and fill with Barritts Ginger Beer. It is WONDERFUL! Barritts also comes sugar free and is sold by General Beverage.
What do you call vodka mixed with root beer? Voot beer of course! Try this for game day. It is an easy mix and a delicious sip!
A voot beer is a vodka and root beer combo. You add a generous amount of whipped cream to the top and garnish it with a cherry. If you like root beer, you will totally enjoy this spiked concoction. I personally liked it when I mixed the whipped cream in with the root beer and vodka… it added a creaminess and reminded me of a root beer float, which I love! I would make these at my next party because they’re super easy to create, a unique twist and taste good. You can also experiment with different root beer brands. There are some really neat home-brewed companies that make some seriously delicious root beer.
To make them, you’ll need vodka, root beer, whipped cream and cherries. Pour 1 to 2 ounces of vodka over ice… depending on how strong you like them. Then top with root beer. Add a good amount of whipped cream and garnish with a cherry and old-fashioned stripy straw.
Have fun and experiment with variations of the Voot Beer…
* Add ice cream and make it a Voot Beer Float
* Swap out the root beer with cream soda.
* Add grenadine for an extra cherry splash
Any way you make it… just enjoy!
Midnight Martini
The Midnight Martini is a perfect fit for New Year’s Eve. The coffee profile gives it the look of midnight and you will be up well past midnight.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ oz Pure Class Vodka or Coffee Vodka
- ½ oz. Coffee Liqueur
- ¼ oz. Cinnamon Syrup (optional)
- Lemon Twist for Garnish
Ingredients for Cinnamon Syrup (optional)
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Water
Directions
- Combine all ingredients and stir well
- Top with whipped cream, cocoa powder and a maraschino cherry
Alternatives
- Often served as a shooter, just shake & strain into a shot glass and go for it.
- The Cinnamon Syrup is an optional ingredient to the original recipe for two reasons: I felt that it needed a little something extra and cinnamon is a great compliment to coffee.
- The cinnamon syrup is very easy to make yourself and I’ve found that it is a great addition to regularly stock in both the bar and kitchen because it is one of those ingredients that can be used to enhance many different recipes, even if that is just your morning cup of coffee.
- If you prefer, use another flavored syrup to customize the martini to your own taste.
